President Marcos Inspects Fire Damage at San Francisco High School in Quezon City
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. visited San Francisco High School today following a fire that broke out in one of its buildings last Sunday. The President assessed the damage and assured swift government assistance to ensure minimal disruption to learners and faculty.
Accompanied by DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, Usec. Peter Irving C. Corvera, Usec. Wilfredo E. Cabral, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Asec. Jocelyn DR Andaya, SDS Carleen S. Sedilla, and Principal Marissa Nava-Rodriguez, President Marcos emphasized the importance of school safety and immediate rehabilitation efforts.
“Education must continue without delay,” the President stated. “We are working closely with DepEd and local officials to provide temporary classrooms and necessary resources while repairs are underway.”
Mayor Belmonte pledged the local government’s full support, while Sec. Angara assured that DepEd would expedite the reconstruction process. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, but no casualties have been reported.
The national and local governments remain committed to ensuring the safety and continuity of education for all affected students.
