DepEd NCR Map Out Strategic Training Path for Revised Curriculum in Intensive Two-Day Workshop

Curriculum planners and training designers converged for a Regional Intensive Planning Workshop on April 23-24, 2026, sharpening the rollout of the revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 curriculum. The gathering at San Juan City brought together Learning Management Teams, Program Management and Secretariat staff, and Monitoring & Evaluation personnel to finalize training designs, documentation protocols, and quality assurance mechanisms.

In her message, DepEd NCR Regional Director and concurrent Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations, Asec. Jocelyn DR Andaya challenged the team to evaluate actions based on what truly matters. “Focus our attention on things that resonate with our Region’s priority: elevating our learning outcomes,” she said, underscoring the need for purposeful planning beyond compliance.

The workshop, facilitated by HRDD-NEAP-R, CLMD and QAD program heads, included guided walkthroughs of the Training Resource Package and breakout sessions on program management and M&E frameworks. Participants hammered out agreements and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Regional Training of Trainers.

With the revised curriculum set for implementation, NCR positions its planning as the cornerstone for improved learning delivery—turning roadmap into classroom reality.
