DepEd NCR gears up for the Quality Management System

As part of the Department of Education’s institutionalization of the National Quality Management System, or NQMS, DepEd NCR participated in the external audit by TUV NORD, an ISO certifying body, on February 2, 2024.

The nationwide audit of all regional offices kicked off with the conduct of the Stage One online audit, where document information were carefully checked, reviewed, and verified by the third-party auditor to determine the readiness of the Regions in the Stage Two External Audit. DepEd NCR’s top management, Deputy Quality Management Representative, Functional Division Chiefs, and representatives of each QMS teams were present during the audit.

The Stage Two audit for DepEd NCR will be on February 29 to March 1 and it will be an onsite evaluation of the Quality Management System.

This endeavor concretizes DepEd’s thrust towards efficient and effective governance that is compliant with international workplace standards. DepEd strives to ensure that all its offices, in various layers of governance, conform not only to its NQMS standards but are also ISO 9001:2015 accredited.
