DepEd NCR Leaders Unite to Champion Literacy
In a significant step towards enhancing educational quality and leadership within the region, DepEd NCR has partnered with the Ateneo Center for Educational Development to present an empowering leadership workshop titled “Guiding Change: Empowering Leaders to Champion Literacy.” The workshop is being held today at The Loft in the Arete Building, Ateneo de Manila University.
The event brings together 190 school heads and 10 Public Schools District Supervisors, all dedicated to refining their leadership capabilities with a focus on promoting literacy in their respective schools. This dynamic session will be led by Mr. Joseph Dela Cruz, a distinguished faculty member from Ateneo’s Senior High School, who will employ innovative techniques such as “theatre acting” to encourage authentic engagement and effective leadership skills among participants.
“If we want to change the system, we need to change our mindset,” said Dr. Dela Cruz. “By harnessing creative methods, we aim to inspire our leaders to take bold, impactful actions that enhance learning outcomes in our communities.”
This initiative underscores DepEd NCR’s commitment to nurturing competent and empowered leaders who can navigate the challenges of modern education while instilling a lifelong love of reading and learning in students.
