DepEd NCR Strengthens the Culture of Research through the 2025 Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) Orientation, MOA Signing, and Launching of the BERF Progress Monitoring Mechanism
Held on June 30, 2025, at the DepEd NCR Conference Hall, the activity was spearheaded by the Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) under the leadership of OIC-Chief Restituto I. Rodelas.
Assistant Regional Director Joel T. Torrecampo graced the event and delivered a powerful message underscoring the vital role of research in shaping effective education policies and programs. He emphasized that a strong research culture is essential for advancing the quality of basic education, urging BERF grantees to anchor their work on data, evidence, and reflective inquiry to drive meaningful and sustainable change across schools and divisions.
This initiative further reinforces DepEd NCR’s commitment to fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement within the region.
