DepEd NCR Advances Madrasah Education Through Resource Development Workshop

DepEd NCR through its Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) and Madrasah Education Program (MEP), is holding a five-day workshop from July 14-18, 2025, at Apo View Hotel, Davao City. The event focuses on reviewing the revised Supplementary Learning Resources (SLRs) for the Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education (ALIVE) curriculum, alongside sharing best practices and beta-testing results.
Led by Mr. Dennis M. Mendoza, Education Program Supervisor/LRMS Head and Ms. Charito A. Villanueva, Education Program Supervisor for Alternative Learning System and Madrasah Education Program, the workshop aims to ensure the SLRs’ accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with the enhanced K to 12 curriculum. Participants will evaluate content, discuss field-tested strategies, and refine materials for regional or national implementation.
Key outputs include reviewed SLRs, documented best practices, beta-testing reports, and actionable recommendations to strengthen Madrasah education. This initiative underscores DepEd NCR’s commitment to inclusive, quality education for Muslim learners in the Region.
