NCR’s Blueprint for Excellence: Pacing, Preparation, and Pride Take Center Stage at Flag Ceremony

DepEd NCR kicked off the last week of February with a sense of purpose and urgency during the Monday flag raising ceremony held at the NCR Grounds on February 23, 2026. With the Finance Division leading the rites, the activity was a mix of solemnity and strategic foresight.

DepEd NCR Regional Director and concurrent Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations, Asec. Jocelyn DR Andaya, delivered a compelling message addressing the surge of converging activities. She underscored that the secret to managing a packed calendar—balancing the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT), 2026 NCR Palaro, and Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) alongside national events—is rooted in meticulous preparation.

“Proper preparation prevents poor performance,” Asec. Andaya reiterated, galvanizing all personnel to maintain organizational discipline to ensure success in the upcoming National Festival of Talents (NFOT), National Schools Press Conference (NSPC), and the prestigious 2026 Palarong Pambansa.

Adding a feather to the region’s cap, CLMD Chief Micah G. Pacheco led the recognition of outstanding learners, teachers, and school heads who emerged victorious in the Global Artificial Intelligence Robot (GAR) Competition in Singapore, highlighting the region’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
